WFAL - The Music Evolution
WFAL is one of two radio stations broadcasting from the Bowling Green State University campus. We Broadcast on both Time Warner Cable channel 21 in Wood County, as well as all over the world via our website at www.wfalradio.com. University lore states that WFAL was founded as a pirate radio station in 1970 in a student's dorm room, and was later adopted by BGSU and moved into West Hall where we currently reside. WFAL also serves the University as a hands on learning tool for students interested in radio. Our format is currently in transition as we are segueing into what will eventually culminate in the brand new Falconradio.org! Before the transition, WFAL was primarily a Modern Rock format station with Punk, Metal, and Hip Hop also represented. Coming in the fall 2008, the new Falconradio.org will feature: Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Neo Soul, Reggae, Modern Rock, Classic Rock, Top 40, Sports and political talk programming as well as live broadcasts of BGSU and area High School sporting events! If you're a BGSU student and you're intersted in joining WFAL, we're always looking for passionate volunteers. Just send an e-mail to the President of the organization, Richard C. Ehrbar III at wfal_gm@hotmail.com for more information about joining our staff. | Would you like to advertise on WFAL and/or WFALradio.com?
